About Product Inspection
Product Inspection explains third-party inspection for people who buy from factories: the types of inspection, how to brief an inspector and how to read the report. It has a checklist generator and a search of US recall notices.
The site does not carry out inspections or tests and does not publish prices for any company's services.
Operated by the Arrivau team.
Product Inspection is an information site. It is not an inspection company or a testing laboratory, and it is not affiliated with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or any other regulator or standards body. The regulator's own pages and your contract govern.
Data and sources
Recall search: 1,528 recall notices dated 5 January 2023 to 8 October 2026 from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall data interface, with the notice text unchanged. Checklist: items marked common practice describe usual inspection work and are not quoted from any standard; items marked regulatory pointer name US requirements that may apply and link to the regulator. The pointers now shown were checked on 11 October 2026 against the CPSC pages each one links to; they are not the text of a rule, and current requirements should be confirmed with the regulator.
